Cruising and Wine Tours (CWT) commenced as a partnership between 2 very experienced operators with a combined 80 years in the Tourism industry. We specialize in creating, processing and executing superb group travel experiences around the world. Our detailed knowledge of destinations, cities and tourism infrastructure benefit our clients in many different ways — above all in delivering value for money and the memories of a lifetime. The business uses its experience to source the best cruise operators and markets to groups of Passengers interested in a themed holiday.

CWT source the interested groups and partners with the Themed host and provides the necessary marketing and administrative support to create a meaningful trip based around a particular theme such as wine appreciation and wellness. CWT provide reservations and communications with the cruise operator and the passengers. Specialised groups are offered special touring specifically designed to enhance the groups experience and enjoyment of the theme.

Cruises are designed to cater for the groups special needs including private meetings and specialised experiences, private tastings and visits to external attractions.

Dallas Newton

Dallas commenced in the Tourism business as an Accountant for APT over 35 years ago. The company was experiencing rapid growth and soon acquired AAT from TAA (now Qantas). Dallas moved to AAT to consolidate its many divisions and help transition the company into the APT group and soon became its Finance Director and eventually Managing Director. Upon returning to APT after the sale of AAT to a large international Tourism conglomerate, Dallas returned to the APT board as Sales and Marketing Director.

After some years, Dallas acquired the Day Touring divisions of APT and owned and operated these businesses in Melbourne and Sydney.  The businesses grew strongly and was eventually approached by a competitor to sell.  Dallas stayed on to help that transition whilst also joining the Tourism Tasmania board.

His favourite red wine is a big Australian Shiraz, whilst Chardonnay is his favourite white wine. Dallas is a keen hacker at golf, a long time snow skier and has played club tennis for 35 years.

Jeff Sharp

Jeff Sharp is a Senior Marketing Executive with over 30 years’ experience in the Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure sectors. He is passionate about excellence in customer service, and having owned and operated a number of small businesses, knows the importance of straight talking and delivering exactly what you promise.

He has held senior marketing positions for major tourism organisations including Accor Asia Pacific, Australian Pacific Tours, AAT Kings Tours and Great Southern Railway. Drawing on his extensive sales and marketing experience, Jeff’s expertise is in client relationships and managing the customer experience. As well as this, he has over 20 years experience in International Marketing for large (and small) Australian tourism organisations – with a particular expertise in Marketing to China

His favourite wines are Pinot Grigio from the Adelaide Hills and Sparkling Shiraz from the Barossa Valley ….  and anything cold when good conservation takes hold !!!. For relaxing, Jeff enjoys playing basketball with his two young daughters, and when time allows, travelling to Europe going on walking tours with his wife.
